Fantasy Wall
What do you think – was written in a rush?
Tender feet bare
as you dance,
chasing blue butterflies
to the foremost corners
of your intoxicated mind.
Drugs of illusion
you fed yourself
from the tongue,
voices
a distant hum,
unable to penetrate
this fantasy wall,
built by drugs
haven’t you taken enough?
Paper cranes
perched in the money trees
laughing as you pass below,
their tone mocking
but also full of sorrow,
pills of pink and blue
begin to rain down
from the bloodshot sky,
as you continue to live
this endless lie,
inside your head
is it your dream to be dead
as your halfway there already.
It’s beautiful! It has this kind of vibe to it, and rythym, I think the person who wrote this defintely thought about it first..
