Need help with website idea related to artists!?
I am doing a website for a friend and I dont like the layout at all, seems so plain to me. Anyhow I wanted to redo his buttons so I am looking for button ideas. Something with either an easel, paint palette or paintbrust. Something sleek not kidlike. Also please mention any other critiques on the site that you think will be helpful

Hi!
First, you may want to change the colors of the background and the text. Ask your friend if he would like to change the site to “cleaner”, whiter tones.
Also, you can use some flash to animate the buttons or just make a whole flash “window” (much easier), inside the HTML.
For the buttons, you can use some of the paintings to “Play” them as graphics, may be, animate them a little.
DO NOT use red text with black BG, unless you have a really good ambient (like pictures or animations that worth the color).
You could also arrange the buttons down the window and make a whole introduction on the front.
