Can a same sex female “second parent” adopt in Washoe County (Reno, NV) ? would you like to ask?
My girlfriend and I are planning to get pregnant. I want to adopt the child but we don’t know if Washoe County (Reno, NV) allow same sex “second parenting”.
Nevada has granted second-parent adoptions, but according to HRC, it does vary by county. Here’s a link to what I was able to find on the HRC site.

It sounds a bit like it depends on the judge you get. Good luck. If you have the money, you can try to marry in a state that allows it, and have the baby there when the time comes, then you would be listed on the birth certificate as the second parent.
