Matted Art
How should i mount a large art print on my wall?
I have a large art print on matte art paper that i would like to hang on my wall. It is 44 1/2 inches by 23 1/2 inches.
I do not want to get it mounted permanently because i want to be able to roll it up to take it with me if i move, and i think finding a frame that big would be really expensive. I am looking for some sort of adhesive that will not damage the paper–damaging the walls isn’t really an issue though. Will poster mounts work if i use enough of them? Or that sticky blue stuff?
There are these things called Magnetacks (sp?) that would definitely work. You can probably use a couple on the top and it should work. You only need one Magnetack to hang up 16 sheets of paper so I am assuming if you use 2 or 4 you can hang up the item you are trying to hang. They won’t puncture your item either which is nice. They are pretty cheap too, definitely worth the experiment to see if they work. worst case you can use them to hang up pictures or posters or something else like that.
