Who is your favorite mixed media/abstract artist?
Victor Vasarely is mine. His work is clean and sleek.
Way back when I first started out many mixed media artist’s work caught my attention, far too many to mention here. But to name a few. The Abstract Expressionist ,Jasper Johns and Robert Raushenberg The sculpture of Joseph Cornell still intrigues me. Sculptors,George Segel Ed Kienholz. Starting out with traditional mediums but then and becoming aware of mixed media was truly a breathe of fresh air for me. It completely reinvigorated whatever interest I already had in art. Opening up what seemed to me to be endless possibilities and opportunities to be creative. My sculpture is primarily but not exclusively in mixed media to this day some twenty plus years later. To say it’s be fun and exciting is an understatement..
